I will always remember Gayle as a leader, planner, organizer, and a "get it done" type of person. When my mother passed away, the first sympathy card I received after returning to work was from Gayle. She took time out of her busy day to think of me and for that I am very grateful.

One of my favorite memories of mom at Sowela was back when the Resource Center was in the Electro-Mechanical building. Watching mom teach evening class was a treat, this was a side of mom that I never got to see otherwise. The way she presented herself so confidently to her students captivated me in a way that I will never forget. This is just one of the many reasons why when someone tells me that I remind them of my mother, I thank them with a smile. I couldn't have been blessed with a more amazing mother than Gayle.
